Men's down jacket with great thermal capacity and resistant to water and wind. Technical and medium weight garment for any use in mountains and climbing.
Usage:
- Technical alpinism and mountaineering in cold and demanding conditions where a reliable, high-performance insulation layer is required.
- Ice climbing and mixed routes, offering warmth without sacrificing the mobility needed for technical movements.
- Winter trekking and high-altitude expeditions, serving as a crucial main or intermediate insulation layer to maintain thermal comfort.
- Belaying at cold stances or as an emergency layer to provide warmth quickly when temperatures drop unexpectedly.
- Designed by Rab for experienced users seeking an optimal balance between warmth, light weight, and durability, with specific features to tackle the challenges of the alpine environment.
Features:
- Helmet-compatible hood, fully adjustable via internal drawcords and with a stiff, flexible peak that provides excellent protection against wind and snow, maintaining good visibility.
- Zoned construction with micro and nano stitch-through baffles to optimize down distribution, maximize warmth where it's needed most, and reduce bulk in mobility areas, improving thermal efficiency and freedom of movement.
- YKK® VISLON® two-way front zip with an internal insulated storm flap filled with synthetic down that prevents heat loss and facilitates use with a harness.
- Two YKK® zippered hand pockets, strategically raised to be accessible even with a harness or backpack, and one YKK® zippered internal security pocket for valuables.
- Low-profile elasticated cuffs designed to fit comfortably over or under gloves, effectively sealing in warmth and preventing snow or cold air ingress.
- Adjustable hem with a dual-adjustment elastic drawcord to cinch the jacket around the waist, preventing body heat loss and drafts.
- Pre-curved and articulated sleeves offering excellent freedom of movement, essential for climbing and other technical mountain activities.
- Includes a lightweight stuff sack for easy compression and storage in a backpack when not in use, optimizing space.
- Approximate weight of 520 grams (Size M), achieving a remarkable warmth-to-weight ratio for demanding alpine activities.
Materials:
- Outer fabric: Pertex® Quantum Pro 20D (40g/m²), 100% polyamide with polyurethane coating and fluorocarbon-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment. This material is highly wind and water-resistant, offering weather protection and helping to maintain down loft.
- Inner fabric: Recycled 20D Nylon (38g/m²), lightweight, soft to the touch, durable, and allows the down to fully loft, as well as being breathable to manage internal moisture.
- Insulation: 190 grams (Size M) of 800 fill power European goose down, treated with Nikwax® fluorocarbon-free hydrophobic finish. This high-quality down offers exceptional thermal capacity, retains its loft and insulating ability even in damp conditions, and dries faster than untreated down.
Eco Certifications:
- Responsible Down Standard (RDS): Certifies that the down used in the jacket comes from geese and ducks that have been ethically treated. This ensures they have not been subjected to unnecessary harm such as live-plucking or force-feeding, promoting animal welfare throughout the down supply chain.

- Membership in EOCA (European Outdoor Conservation Association): As a member of EOCA, Rab contributes to fundraising that goes directly to nature and wildlife conservation projects worldwide, helping to protect the environments where its products are used.
- amfori BSCI Audits: Rab requires its strategic manufacturing partners to undergo audits under the amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) system. These audits assess and promote continuous improvement of social and labor conditions in the global supply chain.
- Commitment to Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi): Rab has committed to the SBTi to set science-based greenhouse gas emission reduction targets aligned with what is necessary to limit global warming to 1.5°C, demonstrating a serious commitment to long-term environmental sustainability.
