Ohm

Use:

• In the event of a fall while climbing, the Ohm increases the resistance exerted on the rope, which makes it easier for a belayer to support a climber who has much more weight.
• The difference in weight between the belayer and the climber must be between 10 kilos and 40 kilos.
• The minimum weight of the belayer must be 40 kilos.
• This brake assist allows the belayer to have to apply much less hand braking force to stop the fall.
• It is installed at the first safety point of the climbing line, it does not rub against the rope during ascent and offers better control on descent.
• It is only allowed to be used with simple dynamic ropes that comply with EN 892 and have a diameter of 8.9 to 11.0 mm.
